The faster and more hectic the present, or so it seems, the slower and more introspective the music of Leipzig-based double bassist Malo Moray becomes. For this anti-cyclical approach, in addition to his main instrument, he primarily uses electronics, with which he sometimes creates bubbling, droney, and sometimes gently flowing ambient soundscapes. In some moments he evokes memories of Sunn O))), in others of Brian Eno's sonic sources of calm.

Last year, he recorded the album "Atolls" together with Grammy award-winner Marc Urselli, followed by "Immersion/Diversion" in June of this year. So it seems that social restlessness has not left Malo Moray completely unscathed after all.
