Kurt Weill Festival 2025: Colors of life

Kurt Weill's name stands like no other for the combination and transgression of different styles and genre boundaries: Elements of classical music, jazz, operetta, theater and new music culminated in his sound constructs in the first half of the 20th century.
In honour of the German-Jewish composer, the festival team has been organizing the Kurt Weill Festival once a year since 1993. There will be a total of 72 different events at 23 different venues over the 16 days from February 28 to March 16, including concerts, theater, film and discussion panels. This year's festival will be graced by the Jazzrausch Bigband, 5Past9, jazz trumpeter Till Brönner and clarinettist David Orlowsky, who is also artist-in-residence.
