Jazzclub Live: Yeoh - Glotze - Coudoux

Prices
The Leipzig band Glotze has set itself a goal: To make the unpredictable audible. Not an easy undertaking. However, if you listen to their four albums to date, you can't help but notice: Mission accomplished.
The quartet's sound proves to be a dense thicket of sound in which experimental and improvised music grows just as artfully as jazz and art music. The result is a meticulous jumble that is half concept, half anarchy. Glotze not only know that their music is sometimes overwhelming, irritating and provocative - they have set out to do so. Not for its own sake, but because the band wants to familiarize the audience with the unfamiliar and ultimately reconcile them.
On stage at the Neues Schauspiel, Glotze will be accompanied by Malaysian violinist Pei Ann Yeoh (with whom they also recorded the album "GLOTZE II", released in 2022) and Cologne cellist Elisabeth Coudoux. Together, they create a multi-perspective sound space that - as jazz journalist Wolf Kampmann recently wrote - is characterized by "creative indecency".
