Hey kids between 8 and 12 years old - we're looking for you!

This year's Leipziger Jazztage will once again feature "Jazz for Kids", and we've prepared something very special for you: On 20.10.2024 you can take part in a sound painting workshop from 9 am to 2 pm. What is that? Sound painting is like painting music - but instead of paints and brushes, you use hands, movements and signs to create music together. You don't need any special language skills and you don't have to be a musician - you just need to want to try out music in a different way. You will be accompanied by the Vienna Soundpainting Collective, an ensemble of musicians and dancers. 

Dear parents, 

The sound painting workshop is free of charge and is aimed at children aged 8 to 12. Participation is possible regardless of previous musical knowledge and language requirements. Under the guidance of the interdisciplinary Vienna Soundpainting Collective, the children will immerse themselves in the exciting world of sound painting and work together to create a performance that will be performed in public at 2:30 pm. The workshop offers a great opportunity to discover creativity and musical expression in a playful way.
