The sound painting, contemporary music and improvisation orchestra was born out of the question why Leipzig currently has a very fertile scene with many musicians* from the contemporary and improvised scene, but no experimental orchestra of its own.

The project quickly grew from initial chamber music ensembles into a platform for modern music in Leipzig. Compositions, as well as improvisations and sound painting works conducted by Gellért Szabó morph into a cinematic sound journey. Szabó conducts previously elaborated signs and thus guides the musicians without depriving them of the necessary freedom for personal expressivity. The orchestra presents material from the current album MONUMENT, as well as new concepts and compositions.
