Campus Jazz | Sunna Gunnlaugs Trio

Prices
The fact that the Icelandic jazz scene has long been more than just an insider tip is due in no small part to the busy pianist Sunna Gunnlaugs. With "Becoming", she released the ninth album of her career two years ago. It features a piano jazz sound that is as reduced as it is enchanting, free of clichés and airs and graces.
However, one thing is needed to fully appreciate the charm of her music: time. That alone makes her an outsider in an age in which spontaneous, creative impulses are increasingly giving way to marketable retort products. Gunnlaugs' music, on the other hand, must be allowed to breathe, to unfold. Her poetic touch may be overlooked at first if you encounter her music with fleetingness. But if you give yourself over to it, it won't let you go.
Gunnlaugs was already a guest at Campus Jazz with her trio in 2015. After the concert, she was a few fans richer. One can assume that this time, ten years later, will be no different.
