An artist talk with Harvest Time Experiment, moderated by Arne Reimer, will take place at 6 pm in the Venussaal at MuKo. Free admission for guests of the subsequent concert.

It was 1977 when "Pharoah", the 15th album by US tenor saxophonist Pharoah Sanders, was released. Sanders himself would prefer to forget the album: The recordings were characterized by conflicts and arguments. Instead, however, it will write jazz history. This is mainly due to the A-side, which contains the 20-minute track "Harvest Time". To this day, it remains a source of inspiration for jazz musicians from all over the world. Last year, the Harvest Time Experiment was founded as a project with a changing line-up to pay tribute to the piece. In the "Artist Talk" moderated by Arne Reimer, we shed light on the project and the fascination of the song that still emanates from it today - almost 50 years later.
