The Leipzig-based group, featuring pianist Linus Haagen, drummer Aline Patschke, and double bassist Leo Zweibel, came together in 2020 to indulge their shared love of stylish sunglasses and acts such as Shai Maestro, Avishai Cohen, and Brad Mehldau. Since then, they have moved dynamically and carefree, sometimes melancholic and wistful, but always entertaining, between the emotional poles of everyday life. The set includes both original compositions and selected standards from the depths of jazz history, which are sometimes barely recognizable thanks to the trio's characteristic virtuoso appropriation.
