The fact that Leipzig-based trombonist Antonia Hausmann is not only an excellent instrumentalist, but also an outstanding composer with a subtle sense of melody, was impressively demonstrated on her debut album "Teleidoscope" in 2022. The nine pieces on the album meander between catchy chamber pop and contemporary jazz, with Hausmann repeatedly succeeding in presenting the trombone not as a stubborn solo instrument, but rather as a characteristic vocal element.

Over the past few years, she has presented the album in various formats on stages in the city and beyond. Now she has given the songs a general overhaul: The occasion is a collaboration with the Jugendjazzorchester Sachsen, for which she has rearranged the pieces. Over the years, the 20-strong big band has gained an outstanding reputation as an excellent ensemble through numerous national and international tours.
