Nils Petter Molvær, the Norwegian pioneer of the fusion of jazz and electronic music, comes to the Schauspielhaus with his new band and visualization artist Tord Knudsen. Complex electronic soundscapes, meet Molvær's more folkloric improvisations and the sound of Geir Sundstol's slide guitar.
Between urban sounds and Scandinavian soundscapes and lightscapes with Nils Petter Molvær(tp), Geir Sundstol (pedal steel), Jo Berger Myhre (b), Erland Dahlen (dr) und Tord Knudsen (visuals)
The third act of the evening is the trio around the Israeli pianist Omer Klein. Charming and shrewd, virtuosic and precise, upbeat and dance-like: this music is influenced by Israeli pop songs and Jewish music from North Africa as much as by European classical music and contemporary rhythms.
Omer Klein (p), Haggai Cohen-Milo (kb) and Amir Bresler (dr)
