At the spearhead of contemporary sound sensibility, a trio flutters happily alongside The Dreamers, Tortoise or Brandt Brauer Frick, in which things are not at all classical in the classic trio line-up: the guitar provides roaring pads, the bass sings and the drums tell stories.
