Triple concert with DANIEL ERDMANN & AKI TAKASE and MARIÁ PORTUGAL: EROSÃO SEPTET - The Leipzig Jazz Young Talent Award of the Marion-Ermer-Foundation is awarded for the 27th time by the City of Leipzig. Traditionally, the award ceremony takes place during the Leipzig Jazz Days, this year it coincides with the festival opening.

The winner is the Simon Lucaciu Trio! The jury praises the unique band sound, the experimental and above all interactive interaction of the three exceptional musicians Simon Lucaciu, Florian Müller and Lukas Heckers. 

For eight years now, the three young musicians have been continuously honing their unmistakable band sound, which alternates back and forth between improvisation and composition - this is where it starts to get exciting for them and the listeners! 

The audience can look forward to an extremely well-tuned, intuitive interplay, which is probably also due to their personal familiarity - they have known each other since their school days. In 2023 the trio, playing on national and international stages, will release their debut album "STRG + X" on the HatHut Records label.

A lot has happened in the meantime: Successes like the Jugend-Jazzt Bundespreis 2017 and the Mitteldeutscher Jazzpreis 2022 are just two of the - yes, we may already use this word here - "milestones" of the still young band. 

By the way, a new album is already in the making...
