Triple concert with SLT and DANIEL ERDMANN & AKI TAKASE - Mariá Portugal is a Brazilian drummer, singer and producer who currently lives in Cologne. With her septet she gathers well-known musicians* of the Cologne jazz and experimental scene around her, who bring the most diverse biographical backgrounds with them.

Her way of working is 'sample-based', with which she wants to break the conventional concept of authorship: the musicians can freely create references to a collection of material in improvisational playing - established hierarchies between voice and instrument, between composition and improvisation are thereby called into question. 

With influences from Brazilian musical tradition, international pop and European classical music.
