In the winter semester 2021/22, the HMT Stage Night will take place at the Moritzbastei student club.

From October 19, 2021, it's HMT Stage Night every Tuesday again! For the winter semester 2021/22 and after the session enjoyed a wonderful resumption in the summer on the outdoor area of the Villa Hasenholz, the event in cooperation of the Jazzclub Leipzig e.V. and the Hochschule für Musik und Theater "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" returns to traditional walls for the cold season!

The Moritzbastei and the Jazzclub Leipzig e.V. share a long history: (opening) concerts of the Leipzig Jazz Days took place here and stories of legendary after-show sessions during the festival with the participation of international stars still make the rounds. Together, they initiated the nationwide Jazz Nachwuchsfestival. Now, after a long period of coexistence, a first togetherness. We are pleased that the Moritzbastei will make its Ratstonne available to young musicians and their various band projects for the coming weeks and months.

The session is opened weekly by a session opener band at 7:30pm. The respective line-ups can be found in the jazz calendar. A cultural contribution of € 2.00 is charged per visitor. The collected contribution and any additional donations will go entirely to the session opener band.

In consultation with all those involved in the event, it was decided by a majority to hold the HMT Stage Night under 2G conditions. This means that only those who have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19 (the last vaccination must have taken place at least 14 days ago) and those who have recovered from Covid-19 (at least 28 days and at most 6 months after a positive PCR test) will be admitted. A valid vaccination certificate or, in the case of those who have recovered, a positive PCR test must be presented. In return, the mask requirement and distance rules do not apply.
