Florian Arbenz/Greg Osby "Reflections Of The Eternal Line"

The Swiss drummer and percussionist Florian Arbenz and the legendary American saxophonist Greg Osby are connected by a professional relationship that has already lasted 22 years and more than 200 concerts played together worldwide.

Now they are finally presenting their first duo album "Reflections of the Eternal Line" at the Jazzclub Leipzig concert series during the year. The project was inspired by a series of paintings by the renowned artist Stephan Spicher, in whose studio the recordings were made. Arbenz and Osby are breaking new ground with their program: with their expression and power, Spicher's paintings inspired the two musicians to engage in exciting dialogue and improvisation. Osby's expansive, floating melodies come to full fruition, accompanied by Arbenz's powerful and imaginative playing. Osby and Arbenz have been playing together regularly in various projects since 1998 and know each other very well - an acquaintance that can also be perceived when listening to their current project.
